Are there any Carroll's in North Carolina? 

Noticed my daughter beat me to this site new to our family. To begin my search how do I find out exactly which family sept we come from. My immediate paternal family are long time residents from Kilkenny in Eire. This would assist me in starting off the search for our own history. Any suggestions welcome. This site has opened my eyes as to the rich heritage of the family most of which I was unaware of.

Hello, My name is Chris, and my Carroll affiliation comes from my mother's side. Her maiden name is Carroll. I was told by an uncle that we are decendents of Charles Carroll of Carrollton.
