My grandfather, in London England, was called by a man from the USA saying that he was a relation. My grandfather did not respond. My grandfather's name was Roger Carroll and I AM trying to locate his family. Can anyone assist me. He married a lady called Margaret Corrigan. |

Great site! -- Trying to research the Maher surname but consistently running into dead ends. GFather's name was William Joseph Maher (1863-1945) from ? Ireland. Immigrated to US in late 1880s and ended up in Omaha, NE, where he married Catherine McSHANE from Crossmaglen, Co Armagh in 1891. Family stories range from him being from Tipperary to one saying he was from Carrigaline, Co Cork and all say the Mahers "...left Ireland under the cover of darkness..." Perhaps, someday I'll run into a lead with some chance of success. It would be nice to have it happen while I'm stationed in Europe -- make the effort to research in Ireland much easier. |

Hi ya'll. I found out *from my mothers side of the family* I'm related to the O'Caroll's, (also found out my grate-grate grand-ma's name was Lizy O'Caroll. Pretty name to). Finding out I'm from the Clan Cian is wicked kool. Don't know much about Lizy O'Caroll though. =*( |
