I was interested in learning new information about Sitric, as I have been told that I am a descendant and this is where our surname comes from. I have been surfing web sites trying to find more information about him and Callahan tied to the mast was news to me. I am also trying to find more about Gormlaith...also referred to as Gormflath in other sites. I know she was of the daughter of a King of Leinster and married to Olaf Gale and mother of Sitric Silkbeard, and wife of Brian Boru and also Mael Sechnaill. What became of her? If there is anyone that has more information on Sitric, I would greatly appreciate hearing about it. Thank you and slan.
