i have just returned from the scottish games at enumclaw, and we found our family name in the book they had there, however, i don't find it here. someone please advise me if this is correct, that we are of the clan cian. the family name is "horan". if we are then which sept? we are trying to get genealogical records, and are having a very hard time, nothing new i know, ireland lost so much....but to find that we may be from a clan, and that there is a plaid, well, this is very thrilling! am anxious to hear from someone there to verify this to us. thanks so very much.

When I was a tiny girl, my mother showed me the Carroll coat of arms. (Carroll was my maiden name.)

The motto on the heraldry was Strong in Faith and War. I would love to have a copy of it suitable for framing.

Hey everyone had a great time at the Oakland Ca. Gamelast week end. Meet lots of people looking for their roots. Helped a fine Irish-American man find his roots( well the starting of them ay). Seems he thought his name was english. Heck sure sounded that way his wife. On finding it to be Irish her smile seemed to light up the sky. Just a wonderful couple of souls they are.

Many more stories floated into the tent over those two days. The women in the tent( Vivian and Noreen, our wifes )even though they were hurting never complained and carried their bright smiles to everyone they met. Thanks for being there for us. We were so full of clan members that it looked like a reunoin, but that is always welcomed. Check it out we have two new members Welcome to Clan Cian Diane Sager(Gerry)and Pam Johnson(Donavan) they came aboard in Oakland, Ca.

Remember the Clan campout everyone. It is August 3rd and 4th.
