I am very happy to be here! Aside from digging for roots, I am trying to do research with a book that has been passed down to me. "The History of Ireland" there is no copyright date however dating begins A.M. 2286 to A.D. 1846. The author I think is William Dolby and was printed by Murphy & McCarthy, Publishers 33 Bromfield St. Providence, R.I. 269 Westminster St.
If there is any imformation you or someone you know could use from this book please let me know. 

James O'Carroll was born in 1765 Prov. of Sisters, Armagh, Armagh, Nothern Ireland and died in 1792 St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. He was married to Margaret Pottle. His Father, Patrick O'Carroll, was born in 1741. I need help finding Patrick O'Carroll's Ancesters.

He is my fifth Great Grandfather.

We had a wonderful time at the Campbell, California game. Lots of Irish people to talk too. Ummm yep and we talked to a lot. The Clan O'Brien tent was right next door and on the other side was the Irish club of San Jose. Plus around 30 Scottish Clans. You know we also had two great Irishmen on the playing feild, with their Blue Cian Clan Kilts. If you guys are reading this please tell me what place you took.
Now we have a firefighter as the newest clan member she is an Owen. They are Dlacassians. Remember the Clan camp out is on the 4th of August and runs up to the afternoon of Sunday the 6th. This year it will be at the Anthony Chabot campground in Castro Valley, California. There is hiking, biking, fishing and horseback riding trails. We all had a really fine time last year at the campout. Checkout the date in the Cian Calendar of Events on the left side of this page for phone numbers of contact people.
Got to go for now people for the weeds are growing faster than the crops.

I attended the Modesto Gathering on June 3, 2000 and I had a wonderful time. I was able to find some history on my Grandfather's family, which made me feel in touch with my past generations. I will be attending the Campbell Gathering in hopes of tracing more of my family history. Thanks for the great time I had and I'm looking forwards to even a better time this weekend.  

I would like to make a cloak using the clan tartan and would appreciate any information on how to go about doing so.

I'm looking for a possible cousin named Hugh Eugene Carroll, Jr. who posted a message in this guest book in June 99. 

I'm still interested in finding out any history of the family O'Dell in Ireland and/or the U.S. At one time I had some but it has wound up missing. Do I qualify for clan affiliation? 

Quite interesting and helpful in the collective research of my genealogy.
