I stumbled accross this site doing a search trying to determine whether there is a link between my family (Cardiff, of Stellarton, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, PEI), and the family of the historic statesman Charles Carroll of Maryland. I have heard at various times that my family shares a common ancestry with the same Carroll family, but I know next to nothing about the connection. I have discerned this much: My father, John David (Dave) Cardiff, moved from Stellarton, N.S., to Maryland in the 1950's. His father was Ambrose Cardiff, and his mother I believe was Emma, both of Stellarton. They owned a store in town. Ambrose's father was, I believe, Thomas Cardiff, and his mother, Anne (nee Carroll), both of Charlottetown, PEI. Anne Carroll's sister, Susan, also married Thomas brother, John. The father of Thomas and John (and others) was Thomas Cardiff; mother Bridget (nee Flood). I believe Bridget Flood was born in Ireland; not sure about Thomas Cardiff. I am for the first time in my life trying to get some info on these ancestors. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Are there any Clan Cian groups in Tennessee 

G'day to all. My great-grandmother was Carrie (nee Carroll) Copeland from Crenshaw County, Alabama. I am searching for any information regarding her and her family. It has been handed down through the generations that we were directly related to Francis Marion through the Carrolls. I have not been able to make these connections. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, when is the Clan Gathering or 2003?
