It is nice to know how many people in America are taking an interest in their Clan roots. As a second generation immigrant, I am reassured that while our people may leave Erin, her history and her culture will live on through them wherever they may go. B. A. Carroll - NC

It is great to know that my ancestors belong to Clan Cian. I only did a very little search on my family tree and found roots in Macroom, Cork and Wales England. I still don't know how Welply's came to USA, since there is no record in Ellis island. But I am sure we were here before the 18th centry. It is a great site.

Lovely page. This will help to find additional roots in Ireland, I believe. We are traced back to 1780 in the Maryland area. Very helpful indeed.

All the best to you.

Firstly, great page...well done to all involved! Secondly, I think to improve it, you might consider including information on some of the smaller clan names (such as Delahunty?!?!) It's difficult to find information on many of these names, and it would be a valuable addition to the site!

I've been researching my family tree (Kelley) as well as my husband's (Carroll). I know so little about his family I don't really know where to begin... but this is a great place to start. Nicole Carroll, Alabama

I have been researching the family name and the heritage of the name for quite a while, so I am impressed at all the information that has been amassed here. You have done a remarkable job. Thank You and keep up the wonderful work.

Greetings, fellow Gaels. My name is Steve Canton of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex in North Texas. My ancestor, Robert Hearn, lived in the late 1600's/early 1700's in either Maryland or Virginia. Apparently this makes me one of the Dalcassian of Thomond branch of the Clan Cian. We of Gaelic origin celebrate by going to the North Texas Irish Festival, which is the second largest of its kind in this country. It is being held today at Fair Park, near the downtown area, from 10:30 AM until 10:30 PM both today & tomorrow. God bless you all & "ERIN GO BRAGH!".

Steve J. Canton
