Greatly gratifying to see how many Carroll's in
the world. We sure branched out. Couldn't ask for
a better site. Would love to hear from any Carroll's
related to those in Texas. I think they came from
Ireland to Kentucky let me hear from you. |

Ba mhaith liom míleaois faoi shéan is faoi mhaise a sheoladh chuig mhuintir Uí Chearúil ar fud na cruinne. I wish to send the very best wishes to all clann members in the infancy of the new millenium. We are currently studying the fesibility of establishing a Daonscoil(HUMAN STUDIES) Centre in the Litir Lughana region of Éile Uí Chearúil. This centre would offer week long courses in Irish History, Culture, Folklore, music song and dance. Ma ta tuairim le nochtadh agat chuir sceal chugam. I would appreciate your thoughts on the above project.
le meas,
Colm Ó Cearuil |

I enjoyed visiting youre site I found it quite interesting.
My grandfather and uncle moved from a townland outside Birr called Crinkle to Rathdowney in Laois..my father was born there he is Conleth Carroll..I was born in Roscrea in county Tippearary..I am David Carroll..the family home is still standing outside Birr at present although no longer in our possesion..my grandfather left the family home soon after my father was born and emigrated to England and then the US..we know little of him since then..he is William Carroll..my uncle Richard or Dick died a few years ago, the last member to live in Birr.
Thank u for presenting a nice interesting site and would be interested in hearing from you if any events are being planned..slan agus beannacht..daithi o cearbhaill |

My maternal grandmother was Sabina Carroll. Her family settled in the Gatineau hills of Southwestern Quebec. I understand part of family moved to the midwest US in the early 1900's. Her father was Daniel Carroll. |

I am doing research on my surname "Carrell" and was directed to this by a CWood on a bulletin board because she felt that you could help me. Would my family name be descended from this Irish name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. KC |

I have Thomas Byrne married to Catherine Carroll, and had kids Thomas, Margaret, and Catherine circa 1800. Margaret m. Edwd Maginnis, son of Edwd Magennis & Helen Kelly, and in MO by 1823. Catherine Jr. married Patrick O'Meara by 1825, and in MO 1839. I assume they must have been around Tipperary because of the Omeara connection. Would like to find dependable help in the area. Thanks! |
