I'am trying to find out about my geat-great-great-grandfather J. T. Carroll who came over to the Carolinas and married a Cherokee woman my great-great-great-grandmother. He is suppose to be from the Tippary area. Any information would be helpful.

Would love to find anyone researching Carrolls from Kilkenny. On my great-great-grandfather Michael Walshes death certificate. Parents Ellen Carrol & Michael Walsh born Danesfort Kilkenny circa 1827. Michael deserted from the 11th regiment 7th October 1848 in South Australia, age Twenty one years eight months. Enlisted 24th February 1844 at Kilkenny. Married Judith Mulvihill in South Australia 1848. There must be someone who can guide me in the right direction to discover more before Michaels time in Australia.

Just starting to research family history. Great-grandfather came from Tipperary, born april 10th 1833. Thomas Maher came to Minnesota, USA In 1861. His wife, Maria (O'Brien) Maher also born in Ireland, 5-21-1835.
